It's been a great week!  I love to give away items I make!  I had the opportunity of doing this twice this week.  One was to my co-worker Nicole whose expecting soon and the other was to my good friend and trainer Pat. Both these ladies feel in love with the items I made for them! Here are photos of their reactions: And there is a sequel to the the baby blanket I made which I also gave to Nicole at her shower.  Here's the video on how to make the Easy To Crochet Baby Headband.

How To Crochet Easy Baby Blanket

Image
Here's a very easy baby blanket I just finished for a co-worker who is expecting at the end of the month. I asked her what colours she liked and she said purple so I tried to incorporate purple into the blanket. I think it turned out really nice and it was so easy. I used the Bernant Baby Blanket which I found at Dollar Ramma for $3 a ball. I got the purple at Michael's for $4 each and used 2 balls to make the border. It was a very easy project. It's very soft and I think she will love it! I'll post some photos or a video of her once I give her the blanket. They are giving her a baby shower at work on the 17th so I'm glad I have this blanket ready for her! Here is the link for the video tutorial if you're interested in following it:

Crochet Baby Hat With Easy Seed Stitch Tutorial

Image
I recently made a hat for my almost 4 month old grandson.  My daughter chose the colours of the yarns because she wanted me to make her a blanket with the same seed stitch.  He now has grown out of all his baby hats so with the leftover yarn I decided to make him this hat which matches his baby blanket.  I hope you enjoy the tutorial and make a similar one for someone you love. Remember, you don't have to use 2 different yarns if you don't want to.  Just use one yarn if it's easier  It will still turn out beautiful and whoever you're making it for will appreciate all your hard work!  Enjoy!
